Your Liver: Part 2

Your LIVER…..such an incredible organ!!! Most of us have no idea how cool our livers are! If you study the liver, the largest solid organ we have, you realize it’s the ultimate ‘multi-tasker’ of the body; it’s responsible for a huge array of bodily functions & processes. Let me give you a few neat facts to increase your appreciation & awe of your liver:)

Our liver cleans and detoxifies our blood 24/7, every second of every day, 365 days a year, NON-STOP. It’s job is to trap, filter, neutralize, render harmless, kill and eliminate ANYTHING you have inhaled, consumed or absorbed which may be damaging to your body. If your liver quite working right now, you’d be dead in less then four hours from toxicity. Amazing!!

Everything you eat and drink is digested and travels from your intestines, via your portal vein, to your liver FIRST, entering the main bloodstream of your body only after it has passed through the numerous safety checks the liver has. For this reason, in many cases it’s actually worse to put chemicals & toxic substances on your skin then to ingest them…….why? Because when absorbed through the skin, these toxins are immediately circulating in the main bloodstream of the body, rather then passing through the liver FIRST. You absorb chemicals into your bloodstream in less then 30 seconds when applied to the very absorbent areas of your body (places you have a lot of lymph glands), such as your scalp, underarms and groin. So if you are avoiding chemicals/toxins in your food & beverages, be extra vigilant about what’s being applied directly to your skin, which is more absorbent then most people know. If it’s not safe for ingesting, you shouldn’t apply it to your skin.

Your liver is much more then just a filter. Your liver creates hormones…..breaks the hormones back down when you’re done with them…..creates enzymes that actually neutralize toxic poisons in your blood…..kills bacteria and viruses…..breaks carbohydrates into glucose, which is the body’s source of pure energy…..breaks down fat…..synthesizes protein…..creates digestive fluids…..is a storage location for everything from immune cells, to iron, to vitamins A, B12, D, E, & K. Medical science admits they don’t even know everything the liver does, and suspect they may never fully know.

In fact, the word “liver” sounds like “live”…..which is truly the case, because if your liver has become sick or injured, it’s very hard for the body to continue to live at all. This is why even conventional doctors will say that your liver was weak and unable to perform it’s job long before your disease even surfaced. Your liver can easily become congested with the same toxic waste it strives to remove from your blood, because we live in a day & age where the liver is being OVERWORKED from EXCESS toxins more then at any other time in history! Look at our food and water and air and surroundings…..well over 72,000 synthetic chemicals have been developed since WWII and less then 2% have been tested for toxicity. A recent EPA study concluded that the air inside the American home is 70 times more polluted then outdoor air. Did you know that toxic radiation from Chinese weapons tests and poisonous industrial chemicals from Japan & Russia often arrive in America within hours of their emissions? Bottom line: it doesn’t matter how healthy you think you are…..even if you live in Tahiti, eat only organic fruit, drink only distilled water and exercise 8 hours a day…..if you are a human that eats, drinks or breathes, and you live anywhere on this current planet earth, then your liver has been attacked & damaged, and is possibly even sick. It’s not hard to figure out that our livers need some extra attention & LOVE:)

Now…..let’s add insult to injury here. If all the toxins in our surroundings wasn’t bad enough, do you know the NUMBER ONE thing adding to the stress your liver has to put up with? Yup. You guessed it: Candida/Fungus overgrowth. Candida overgrowth is BAD news for the liver. What happens when candida starts to overgrow and flourish, is that the cells morph into a very aggressive type of cell; if you were to look under a microscope, you would see the candida cell has little legs similar to an octopus. Remember the ONLY purpose of a candida cell? Yes, it’s only purpose is to decompose organic matter (humans, animals, plants) after it dies (and hopefully not before!). So now these little ‘octopus legs’ of the candida cell start to burrow into the lining of our guts/colon (because a good majority of the body’s bacteria, both good and bad, reside in our colons/guts). Once they burrow, they do what candida was designed to do: decompose! So now they have created tiny microscopic holes everywhere throughout the gut, and now problems get really bad. Once candida has created what we call “leaky gut”, (which is actually just early decomposition of the gut) things can now leak out of the gut and into the main bloodstream of our body. Things that were NEVER designed to be present in the blood! Things such as toxins, that were carried to the colon to be released in our feces, are now entering the blood. Things such as food particles, feces particles, and even other candida cells themselves.

Can you imagine what all this mess created by candida does to our livers? I actually feel very sorry for the liver when I think about it. The liver now has to deal with all this extra stuff in the blood that was never, ever meant to be there. In fact, did you know this is actually even how allergies develop? Let’s say some food particles leaked into the blood through the “leaky gut” holes; well, that’s bad news! The body goes into full alert because food particles do NOT belong in the blood (our body converts food to glucose, but would never allow actual food into the blood). We then develop a histamine reaction to that particular food, whatever it was that leaked into the blood. That’s why if you are allergic to 1 or 2 things, and don’t take time to fix your candida overgrowth and heal your gut, that list of allergies & sensitivities will only continue to grow over time as things keep leaking into your blood and your body freaks out, rightfully so. So, do you get the picture of just why a candida problem is causing a MASSIVE overload to the liver? Poor liver. We need to intervene. First of all, we need to fix the candida problem ASAP! Plug the leaky gut holes that are the root problem here, and kill the excess candida causing the holes. Then, we need to do some major house-cleaning from all the congestion & overload our wonderful livers have endured for so many years, caused both from the excess toxins they are exposed to in this day & age, and also from all the horrible candida overgrowth. Take a good look at the stages of candida overgrowth (you’ll find this article in our Facebook groups). If you have ANY of the symptoms listed, you know your liver is probably very congested and bogged down as a result. Did you know that if you have any type of skin issues: rashes, eczema, psoriasis, acne, etc. that automatically means your liver is very dirty? Dirty skin=dirty blood=dirty liver……because things will exit through your skin if your liver cannot keep up. Especially if you are struggling with hormone imbalances, or depression, or serious disease, or ANY health issues that you have trouble getting over, even with Plexus, then you will simply have to give your liver a boost and do some EXTRA house-cleaning.


What’s the best way to do some spring-cleaning in your liver? Hands down, no questions asked, it’s the Dr. Andrew Moritz Liver Flush!!!!!!! This will actually take huge pieces of VISIBLE trash and waste and garbage right out of your liver for your eyes to behold!!! You won’t believe what was all stored away in your liver for years. You’ll wonder how your body was even able to function before!

I will include the “recipe” for the flush, and if anyone loves science and likes to know WHY (like I do:) then I suggest to buy the actual book for this and read the whole thing! It’s called “The Amazing Liver & Gallbladder Flush” by Dr. Andrew Moritz.

I suggest to stay consistent with this flush. It may take you a YEAR or more to fully clean your liver! Do one liver flush per month for a good while, at least till you have two consecutive months with no more liver stones/waste coming out. At the time of this writing, I’ve done flushes for 7 consecutive months, and LOVE my progress!!! I plan to continue for a while, as my liver was very congested and this is making a positive difference for me. For any additional questions, please purchase the book and read it for yourself. Andreas Moritz’s Liver Flush Recipe
Ingredients for the entire 6 days of the flush:
Six 32-ounce bottles of apple juice OR six 8-ounce bottles of tart cherry juice OR choose a different malic acid method (such as Malic Acid-L powder)
4 Tablespoons Epsom salt OR 4 Tablespoons powdered magnesium citrate
3 cups water
1/2 cup olive oil
3/4 cup fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice (room temperature)*
*You can substitute fresh lemon and orange juice combined, 3/4 cup total.
Preparation (Days 1-5):
Apple juice OR tart cherry juice OR malic acid powder:
Drink one 32-ounce bottle of apple juice OR 8-ounce bottle of tart cherry juice each day (OR mix 1 spoon of malic acid powder into a cup of water twice per day). Avoid drinking the juice just before or during meals, and wait 1-2 hours after meals. Finish the juice by 6 PM each night. Also drink plenty of water, but avoid ice-cold foods and drinks that chill the liver. Try to eat light and avoid animal protein.

Cleanse your colon with colonic hydrotherapy or a water/coffee enema before the liver flush, preferably day 6, and again afterward to eliminate liverstones/gallstones more quickly and prevent much of the nausea and discomfort that can arise. This is very important.


Schedule for Day 6:
Finish your last 32-ounce bottle of apple juice or tart cherry juice (or malic acid powder mixed in water) in the morning. Eat no-fat & no-protein meals for breakfast and lunch, such as rice and steamed veggies). Also avoid sugar, spices, and processed food.
1:30 PM – Stop eating, and do not drink anything except water.
6:00 PM – Mix the 4 tbsp. Epsom salt and 3 cups water, then divide into four 3/4-cup portions. If you can’t tolerate Epsom salt, use magnesium citrate instead. Drink your first serving, followed by a few sips of water if desired.
8:00 PM – Drink 3/4 cup Epsom salt water (or magnesium citrate).
9:30 PM – If you have not yet had a bowel movement, do a water enema. A congested colon can limit the number of stones you release.
9:45 PM – Squeeze the ¾ cup of citrus juice into a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Add the ½ cup of olive oil and shake to combine. Be ready to drink the mixture at 10:00 p.m., although you may delay 10-15 minutes if you are still having bowel movements.
10:00 PM – Try to drink the mixture fast, within 5 minutes, and lie down fast. Use a large straw or plug your nose if necessary to get it down. Quickly brush your teeth to eliminate the taste if desired. Turn off the light and lie on your back with one or two pillows propping your head above your abdomen. Or lie on your right side with your knees pulled toward your chest and your head elevated. Stay still 20 minutes, then go to sleep, but not on your stomach. Try to stay in bed, but get up if you need to have a bowel movement. During the night and the next day, look for dark green or tan stones floating in the toilet. All the liver stones will float, unless they have calcified over time, then they would sink. They can be in the size of peas, small chaff, or even marbles & coins. The malic acid you’ve consumed for 6 days has softened them, and the epsom salts have opened the bile ducts widely, so it’s totally painless to release them out of the liver and colon. The citrus juice & olive oil are responsible for the massive release of bile that rushes out of your liver during the actual flush, pushing many liverstones out with it.

Day 7 after the night of the flush:
6:00 AM – Drink a glass of warm water then 3/4 cup Epsom salt water (or magnesium citrate). Relax. Go to sleep if you like, but it is best to keep your body upright.
8:00 AM – Drink your last 3/4 cup Epsom salt water (or magnesium citrate).
10:00 AM – Drink fruit juice. Thirty minutes later, you may eat one or two pieces of fruit. An hour later, you may eat normally but light. By evening or the next morning, you should start feeling normal or even improved. Continue to eat light the next two to three days.

VERY important note:
Do about 3 or more coffee enemas the day after the flush (day 7) to get all the liver stones out of the colon. For BEST results, have a colonic the next morning/afternoon (day 7). If you do not have access to a health spa to get a colonic, just make SURE you do enough enemas at home the next day. This is a very important step, because you want all those liver stones OUT of your colon as fast as you can:) You do NOT want to reabsorb any of that toxic waste when you’ve worked so hard to release it all.

    Preach it! You are speaking my language! I use many of the facts here in my talk about toxins as well. I also just did my very first gall bladder flush which was very similar to this one!
